Chimpanzee Trekking vs. gorilla Trekking
Both Chimpanzee trekking and gorilla trekking are thrilling wildlife experiences that offer close encounters with the fascinating primates, the giant and most intelligent in their natural habitats.
Chimpanzee trekking is a more engaging activity that involves following up on the chimps as they swiftly through the forest canopy. Chimpanzees are active primates that hardly settle on the ground requiring one to be very active while observing them going about their daily routines.
In contrast, Gorilla Trekking is a calm activity as gorillas are gentle, very calm primates that spend much of their time on the ground ranging, resting or interacting.
Gorilla observations offer a more intimate experience compared to the chimpanzee trekking. Both of these activities take place in the lush forests but gorilla trekking is physically more demanding as it requires long hikes through a diverse of terrains to their natural habitats.
A Rwanda Chimpanzee trekking permit vs. gorilla trekking Permit
A Rwanda chimpanzee trekking permit and a gorilla trekking permit differ in price, availability, and purpose. A Rwanda chimpanzee trekking permit typically costs around $90, making it more affordable than the $1,500 gorilla trekking permit.
Gorilla permits are more expensive due to the limited number of gorillas, higher conservation costs, and greater demand. Both permits must be booked in advance, especially during peak tourist seasons.
