Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Semuliki National Park
Your 3-day Uganda safari to Semuliki National Park begins with an early morning transfer from your accommodations in Entebbe or Kampala to Fort Portal, the gateway to this enchanting wildlife park.
It is about a 7-hour scenic drive from Kampala to Fort Portal City and then to Semuliki National Park situated in the western region of Uganda on the edges of the Albertine Rift Valley.

Your Day starts with an early morning breakfast and a preparation for a full-day adventure. After, you will be transferred to the Sempaya hot springs. This hot spring includes two distinct springs: A male hot spring locally Bitende and a female called Nyasimbi.
Here you will witness this bubbling geothermal activity, an amazing nature wonder, you will also learn about the cultural significance of this site to the local communities. Don’t miss the opportunity to cook eggs or bananas in the boiling waters, a unique and fun wildlife experience.
After the hot springs, you will embark on a thrilling game drive in Semuliki National Park. The park is home to a variety of animals that are best spotted while on a guided game drive. Semuliki animals spotted during this adventure include elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, hyenas, Uganda kob, and many more. With some luck, you might spot the elusive leopard or pygmy hippo.
Semuliki National Park is a birder’s paradise boasting over 440 bird species including the iconic shoebill stork and those endemic to the Albertine Rift.
