Detailed Itinerary of the 14 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Arrival in Uganda

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Day 2 is a day of transferring from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to famous Uganda Mountain Gorillas. After breakfast, you will immediately embark on this incredible road trip. It is conducted as early as possible in order to avoid traveling during the night as it is quite long covering about 8 to 10 hours. It takes you through the country’s scenic landscapes, forests, lush hills, and charming villages, making it an ultimate drive experience.
Frequent stops are made as requested to allow you to stretch and refresh. you can as well request for a pullover to linger at your captivating spots. You will be en route for lunch at a local restaurant on the way if it gets to lunchtime and you may wish to grab a bite. Once at the park, you will check into your lodges where you will unwind, getting ready for an unforgettable encounter with Uganda’s majestic mountain gorillas!

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Today is the highlight of your safari: gorilla trekking! It starts with a transfer to the park headquarters to attend a pre-gorilla trek briefing about the protocols to adhere to while tracking these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Ensure to leave the hotel when you have had a good breakfast and packed lunch to keep your energy levels high as this adventure is a physically demanding one.
After the briefing, you will be divided into manageable groups of at least 8 individuals in each group. Accompanied by an armed ranger for safety and an experienced park guide, you will head out into the dense forests of Bwindi, following the gorilla trails in search of your assigned gorilla family.
Once encountered, you have 1hour of observing these incredible primates going about their daily routines in their natural habitat, offering an enjoyable and unforgettable experience. Bwindi Forest is home to half of the remaining Mountain gorilla population making its gorilla trekking experience more thrilling compared to that in other Gorilla national parks.
After the trek, return to your lodge to relax and reflect on the magical day spent with the gorillas.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
On Day 4, you embark on a scenic transfer from Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to Queen Elizabeth National Park, another iconic wildlife destination in Uganda famously known for its diverse wildlife including tree-climbing lions. It is a 2 to 3-hour drive navigating you through lush rolling hills, stunning landscapes, and lush tea plantations.
